Third Party Registration
Integrate the ticket registration function into your invitation campaign and direct your guests straight to your website. You can link the "Third-Party Registration" service to your own registration website via an interface. This enables your invited guests to register for their professional visitor ticket directly on your registration website. There is no longer any need to additionally register the ticket on Deutsche Messe's event website as well and, on successful registration, the admission ticket will then be sent directly to your guests by e-mail.
Additional guidance:
- When designing your registration website, please observe the data protection requirements listed under point 4 in the order conditions.
- We will send you the interface access data on receipt of your order.

Purchase order terms for category Third Party Registration – Data Interface
The contract for provision of TPR takes effect once the interface access data has been sent by Deutsche Messe or a service provider commissioned by Deutsche Messe.
TPR is a service that can be linked to your own ticket registration website via an interface. An enabled link means that professional visitors invited by you, as an exhibitor, only then need to register for their tickets on your registration website and not additionally with Deutsche Messe AG as well. Professional visitor tickets are registered with Deutsche Messe in your registration process by actively obtaining the guest’s consent there for certain registration data to be transferred to Deutsche Messe. This means that professional visitors registered on your website already receive their admission ticket for the trade fair on completion of registration, provided that they have consented to the transfer of certain mandatory data.
The interface is a JSON-based REST interface, which can only be accessed with SSL encryption. Authentication takes place using the OAuth2 standard. On completion of the ordering process, the necessary access data will be sent to you by a technical contact person of Deutsche Messe or a service provider commissioned by Deutsche Messe.
The data is hosted in a data center on the servers of Deutsche Messe AG in Germany.
2. Provision and functioning of TPR
The TPR interface can be used as from commencement of the event's ticket registration and can transmit registration data from that time onward. Use of the interface is restricted to the tickets registered for the event and remains available until the end of the event.
You receive all the necessary fields, field values and dependencies from TPR via the web interface so that these can be implemented in your own registration process. The professional visitors' registration data is forwarded by you, likewise via web interface, to TPR where it is then validated. On successful validation, TPR sends an e-mail with the ticket (PDF) directly to the professional visitor, provided that the latter has communicated consent for this to Deutsche Messe.
3. Responsibility pursuant to Art. 24 EU_GDPR
The exhibitor is the sole controller within the meaning of Art. 24 EU-GDPR in terms of the collection and processing of professional visitors’ data in the registration process on the exhibitor's website, as well as the forwarding thereof to Deutsche Messe.
4. Legal privacy requirements on the design of your registration website
4.1
On your registration website, it must be clear to the registrant which of their data will, subject to their consent, be forwarded to Deutsche Messe for ticket registration. You may only forward this and no other data to Deutsche Messe via the interface.
This means that the following areas on your website must be separated visually and in terms of content:
- Area for data which you collect and is to be forwarded to Deutsche Messe for ticket registration. This data relates to "mandatory data and other information voluntarily provided for ticket registration with Deutsche Messe"
- Area for data additionally collected by the exhibitor and not to be transferred to Deutsche Messe.
Your registration website must contain a checkbox for the declaration of consent to the forwarding of the "mandatory data and other information voluntarily provided for ticket registration with Deutsche Messe" to Deutsche Messe AG.
The declaration of consent must contain the following wording: "I herewith consent to the forwarding of the mandatory data and other information voluntarily provided for ticket registration with Deutsche Messe to Deutsche Messe AG for ticket registration."
A link to the Data Protection Notice of Deutsche Messe must be provided here, so that the professional visitor is given the opportunity, before giving their consent, to obtain information about the data processing intended by Deutsche Messe in the ticket registration process (Data Protection Notice, section IV ( 3).
4.3
The prerequisite for the transfer to Deutsche Messe of the professional visitor's data that you collect is their active consent to the transfer to Deutsche Messe.
A further checkbox must therefore be provided in which the professional visitor separately confirms having taken note of the Data Protection Notice of Deutsche Messe (https://www.messe.de/en/deutsche-messe/privacy-policy).
5. Liability
Claims for damages against Deutsche Messe are excluded, irrespective of the type of breach of duty, including tort, unless the damage was caused by intentional or grossly negligent action or the damage results from injury to life, limb or health. Claims cannot be made for loss of profits, expenditure saved from compensation claims of third parties, or for any other direct or consequential loss.
In the event of a breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations), Deutsche Messe shall be liable for any negligence up to the amount of the contractually typical and foreseeable damage but not exceeding the price for the service concerned.
6. Misuse of the data interface
Once Deutsche Messe has set up the data interface, you or your service provider(s) shall not make the interface available to an unauthorized third party, nor shall you or your service provider(s) use the interface for any purpose other than as set forth in the contractual provisions herein. In case of a demonstrable violation of this provision, you shall be liable to pay a penalty to Deutsche Messe, the amount of which shall be based on the loss of usage fees incurred by Deutsche Messe through unauthorized use of the interface within the scope of the purchase order terms herein.
